Todays picture from Morocco. Went to visit a berber town named Azrou today, located in the Middle Atlas Mountains. With a population of about 50,000 people (Meknes, 700,000) it’s not a big place, which of course makes it more manageable for short visits. However, as a photographer I still need some time to meet the new places, and Azrou were no exception. Not sure that I actually came back with all I had hoped for, so I’m thinking about maybe going back there again tomorrow, and see what a second day there might bring.
One of the images I did get today is the one below.  I was told that Azrou would be a more relaxed place compared to the imperial cities like Meknes and Fes – and it definitely is. Much more unhurried, the place has its own rhythm of daily life. Tuesday is market day in Azrou, so that will be a highlight if I make it there again. We will see…

Update:
It seems like I won’t be able to make it back to Azrou after all. The time runs so fast, and I have unfortunately only a little left of it here in Morocco. I will be spending this Tuesday here in Meknes shooting a little, and then prepare for my journey back to Fes tomorrow, where I will be spending my last day with my good friend Hassan before returning to Denmark.
